Objective

To provide access to resources, training, and capacity building at local and regional levels through an integrated, holistic, and community-based approach to development in order to overcome poverty, restore the natural environment, and meet community needs.

Why an integrated, multi-sectoral approach to community-based development?

Overcoming challenges in one area or sector of community life reinforces solutions in other areas.

Various sectors of community life are interdependent and rely on the overall health of the natural and human environment.

When people participate fully in the design and development of community based projects, they acquire a sense of ownership, pride, and investment in the project itself.

Once people within a community have been trained they can carry out and maintain improvements and share their new abilities with others.

What benefits will these projects provide?
